He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, and was a retired welder. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved traveling, fishing, people, and the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; a daughter, Leisa Lehtinen; and a son, James Moon.
He is survived by his wife of the home; three daughters; two sons; two stepsons; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ashes will be interred at Fort Smith National Cemetery.
