Joshua Allen Cox, 35 of Midland, passed away on December 20, 2021, at his home. Josh was born in Midland to Lucius Lownsbery and Theresa (Sexton) Lownsbery. He was a Civil Engineer for Fulton Technologies and was a very hard worker. Joshua loved gaming, collecting guns and knives, and animals. He was a proficient self-taught guitarist with a passion for music. When his nieces and nephew asked for anything, Josh was a pushover since he loved them so much. Selflessness was something that came naturally to him, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone. Josh lost his mother, Theresa, in 2014 and is survived by Shawn Cox, brother and best friend (Midland, MI); and two sisters Rose Smith of St. Helen and Tina Higginson of Bend, OR.
Services for Josh will be held at the Floyd Church of God at 1073 West Chippewa River Road on January 16, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Services for Josh have been entrusted to the care of the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Directors.
