Frances graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1949. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene where she had sung in the choir for many years. Singing was her most favorite enjoyment, but, she also enjoyed playing the piano, working puzzles and was also quite the artist.
Survivors include, two sons, Gil Wilson (Eloise), Selma and Timothy David Wilson (Roxanne), Mitchell; two daughters, Marla Cook, Muncie and Theresa Heatherly (Scott), Eaton; two step sons, Tony Phillips (Charlotte) and Terry Phillips (Dottie), both of Tennessee; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Phillips and her parents.
Due to possible inclement weather conditions, an indoor committal service will be held at Parson Mortuary with Steve Nale officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.
