ony Wallace, age 73, passed away peacefully, Sunday Sept 5, 2021 from his battle with cancer.
He was a brave and strong fighter. He was born in Middlesboro, KY on January 26th 1948 to Edward and Frances Wallace and graduated from Macomber High School where he studied Automotive. He loved anything and all things automotive, but his biggest passion was classic cars. He was a person that respected cars and their owners, making him the person everyone felt comfortable coming to. He loved working on cars and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He would say it wasn't done right until it was done perfect. He owned and built a 1966 Ford Fairlane that many admired and won awards. He loved attending car shows. He worked such places as Ballas Buick GMC, Dunn's Chevrolet Buick and Roberts Auto Restoration. He retired in 2017 from Capital Tire.
Left to cherish his memory are his 3 grandchildren that he loved with all his heart, Cody Widney, Jacob Widney and Samantha Wallace. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Doris; Brother Jerry (Cindy) Wallace, sisters Colleen (Bo) Woody and Marilyn (Steve) Fox, daughter Kimberly (Tony) Widney, daughter Dawn (Chris) Gasiorowski, daughter Jennifer Wallace, son Jeff Wallace, step mom Irene and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father Edward, Mother Frances, sister Margaret and brother in law Carl.
He wanted to be remembered for making people laugh because that is what brought him joy. He just wanted to make people happy. He will be missed by many.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at both Hospice of NW Ohio and Genacross at Home Facilities. To all who loved and admired our father, thank you for your support.
