Solomon became the husband of Catherine Louisa Schade (1859-1931) on November 21st, 1882 in Waterloo, Ontario.

They were the parents of 2 children, both born in Waterloo County.
1. Elfrieda Elizabeth Beatty (1883-1943) m. (Albert Hagen).
2. Charles Henry Beatty (1889-1928) m. (Irene Schnitt).

Soloman M. Beatty
One of Waterloo's oldest citizens, Soloman M. Beatty, died On Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 75 years. Mr. Beatty was a carpenter and resided with his daughter, Mrs. Albert Hagen, 38 Shoemaker Avenue, for some time prior to which he lived in Waterloo. His wife died months ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Albert Hagen, two brothers, John S. Beatty, Toronto, and Urins Beatty, St. Catharines; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kerr, Toronto, and Mrs. Henry Martin, Wallensten; also six grandchildren. The funeral was held on Wednesday from the residence of his daughter.
