Danny moved to Straughn, Indiana with his family when he was four years old, and he graduated from Straughn High School in 1956. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1956-1962. Danny worked several jobs early in his life before he decided to be self-employed. He owned and operated Frost's Coffee Shop in New Castle in the early 70's where his mom supplied the homemade pies, and then from 1974-2002 he operated Frost's Auto Body in Straughn. He specialized in corvette restoration and was known as the "Corvette Man". Danny then retired from truck driving after ten years. Danny's memberships included the American Legion, and Moose Lodge in New Castle. At different periods of his life, he found enjoyment in hunting, fishing, driving race cars, watching western movies, listening to music and karaoke. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include 6 children, Tamra (Chris) Conwell of Hagerstown, Shane (Pam Witham) Frost of Middletown, Josh (Elizabeth) Frost of Spiceland, Gabe Frost of Nashville, Natoshia (Scott) Gross of Knightstown and Kylie (David) Hobbs of New Castle; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Larry, Mickey and Ted Frost; step- mother, Peg Frost; nieces and nephews.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Killus Frost; mother, Dillie (Perdue) Frost-Dowell; stepfather, Roy Dowell.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Saturday January 29, 2022, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Burial with military honors provided by contingents of the United States Marine Corps and Knightstown American Legion will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.
