Robert Douglas passed away unexpectedly in his home,in Orem UT. Saturday Jan 15th 2022. Rob was an extremely kind, caring, and faithful husband, father, brother and friend. He loved his wife and family and always stood by them. He was an extremely honest man, and provided for his family in amazing ways. He was a gentle giant, with a wonderfully deep voice, and a great sense of humor. He had the best laugh ever. Every time he walked in a room, any baby or child would be staring at him with curious intensity. He smiled with his eyes unmistakably. Rob was a very good, loyal, and faithful husband, and his wife Susan dearly loved him, and worshiped the ground he walked on. They met when Susan was 16 years old, and she thought he looked like a Greek God.

Robert moved to San Diego, and helped his father with his company tirelessly until his father's demise. He returned to Visalia California, where he was born.and stayed with his Beloved Grandma Marie Adair, as he worked toward furthering his education.

Robert had an older brother Stuart, and a little sister, Constance. He always protected and cared for her growing up, She adored him, and thought of him as her 'rock' until the day he passed. .Although he had had a lot of relatives he was always especially close to his Aunt Judy and Uncle Joe Adair from Visalia Ca. After his Uncle Joe Passed, he corresponded regularly with his Aunt Judy. He and his family visited, her each time they returned to Visalia and he was very fond of her.

Rob graduated from Fresno State University and began a job as a software engineer, working for Land O'Lakes in Tulare California for 11 years. When Robert and his wife Susan got together officially in 1999, they had been best friends for while, at that time, They both had children from a former marriage. Robert had a wonderful son Andrew, and Susan had two beautiful daughters, Stephanie and Jennifer. He loved them all, and would have done anything for them. The two daughters married and had children, and Robert's son was old enough to go off on his own. In 2005, Susan and Robert had an amazing son, James 'Robbie'.

Robert got a job with Modere, formerly Neways, in Springville Utah as a Senior Software Engineer in 2008. He moved his family to a beautiful home right on the Spanish Fork golf course. And they all fell in love with Utah. Robert loved to golf, and could have been a club pro anywhere he went. He said he was in heaven. He met his best friend Bruce Murdock on that same course, and found out that they were colleagues at the same company. They were fast friends, and they did many family outings together. He often spoke of other very good friends, Carlos Merighe, Kevin Lindholme, and Clark Haynes.

His family was his life, and although he hadn't seen his firstborn son in many years, one year on Andrew's birthday, he said "I'm going to hit my son a hole in one for his birthday", and did (and has the documents to prove it!). Robert loved his young son Robbie, and enjoyed reading him books, going on long walks with him, taking him to train shows, and any educational aspect he could think of. He also had a very special relationship with Jennifer, his step daughter, and spoke with her often via texts and emails. Jennifer loved him very much. Rob was an extremely intelligent man, and touched the lives of many. There was never a question you could ask him that he didn't know the answer to off the top of his head. Many people would often call him for information. He was so proud of his son James, and loved to give him songs to play by ear on the piano, and when he did, Rob would beam with pride. He loved to hear him sing. Rob started a new job with Inmar at the end of 2021, and said it was the best job he had ever had. Rob loved animals, thrift stores, and bringing little things home to his wife and son. He loved playing the guitar with his sons. He was the most amazing man that his family knew, and died an untimely death, and will be greatly missed forever...Preceded in Death by his Mother Barbara Jean Adair Douglas and Father William Howard Douglas. Older Brother, Stuart Douglas. Uncle Joe Adair. His Grandmother Marie Adair, and Grandfather John Adair, and his fathers parents.
