Mr. Richard Carroll Ray, Sr. age 82 of Mayfield, Ky passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 9:56 PM at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center. He was a member of the Pryorsburg Baptist Church, he was a Truck Driver; and he was also a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Ray is survived by his five daughters- Donna (Donnie) Phelps of Farmington, Ky, Carol James of Wingo, Ky, Melissa Ray of Mayfield, Ky, Rhonda Ray of Murray, Ky, and Mary (Tommy) Parker of Mayfield, Ky; one sister- Shirley Smith of Mayfield, Ky; fourteen grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife- Anna Ray; son- Ricky Ray; grandson- John David Dunham; two brothers- Sonny Ray and Bill Ray; sister- Mayda Nell Rowland; parents- John W. & Alma Lee Walker Ray. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky with Rev. Tom Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky. Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.
