James J. Moran, 96 of Larksville, left this world Friday evening, Jan. 21, 2022, to find peace with those who have passed before him.

Born July 28, 1925, in Larksville, he was the son of the late James V. and Margaret Mullarkey Moran.

Jim was a graduate of St. Vincent's High School, Plymouth and was owner/operator of James J. Moran & Sons roofing for over 70 years. He was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth; The Knights of Columbus, Council #11901; and Murgas Amateur Radio Club.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, the former Lillian Povicki, in 2005; sisters, Mary Moran, and Marguerite Carlon; brother, Edward Moran; and granddaughter, Jill Tongol.

Surviving are his children, James Moran and his wife, Barbara, Larksville; Maureen Evans and her husband, Lee, Forty Fort; Carol Van Fleet and her husband, Ron, Fleetville; Margaret "Peggy" Williams and her husband, Thomas, Shavertown; John Moran and his wife, Jacqueline, Larksville; and Dr. Joseph Moran and spouse, Mike Durso, Larksville; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Parish, Plymouth, at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Larksville.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Twp.
