Rachel S. Valdez, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, & great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the age of 69. She was born March 15, 1952, in Phoenix, AZ to Angela Moreno & Frank Silva and raised by Dora Ruiz. Rachel married Joe S. Valdez in 1985.
She is survived by husband Joe; children Annette, Frederick (Veronica), Robert, Suzanne & Rodney; grandchildren Joseph, David, Isaac, Michael, Brittany, Ruben, Robert Jr., Nathan, Aria, Raquel, Kayla, Jacob, Miranda, Kristen; great grandchildren Joseph, Jason, Sadie, Hayden, Hunter, Harper, Exavior, Elijah, Serenity, Aubree & Ella.
Rachel worked as a waitress and later owned a house cleaning business. She caught Joe's eye at Lucky's grocery store and soon became his wife. She loved him until her last breath.
Rachel will be laid to rest on January 18, 2022. A graveside service will be at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
