Jessie was truly a beautiful young lady, not just on the outside, but on the inside. She loved life. She loved all living creatures, and she loved God. Through her kindness and caring spirit, she touched the lives of everyone who got to know her, and even some whom she had just met. She spread joy, humor, and genuine love especially to those in need. She was special in that way. If someone had an issue or was facing life challenges, she would be the first person to offer care and support, even if she was dealing with her own drama at the time. Others came first. Always. Everyone who knew her would say, "Jessie was the kindest, sweetest, most giving person they had ever met." Jessie touched the lives of families everywhere she went, from Georgia to Kansas to Plain City. Our family is overwhelmed by the prayers, love and support, from her 1st grade teacher to her newest friends at Ohio State. She had a deep love for animals, especially the ones that were most vulnerable. This love guided her to study Animal Sciences and she planned to continue her education with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She would have made a wonderful veterinarian. Jessie lived her life to the fullest, sucking every minute of every day to get as much out of life as possible, sometimes to the detriment of her own well-being. But that was her. Full of energy. Full of life. Full of competitive spirit. Full of love.

Jessie lived her life to the fullest, sucking every minute of every day to get as much out of life as possible, sometimes to the detriment of her own well-being. But that was her. Full of energy. Full of life. Full of competitive spirit. Full of love.

A few days before Christmas Eve, she told her Mom, "I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life." I know she would have wanted to reach out and thank everyone who accepted her and helped her adjust to her new home in Plain City. Jim and the entire Plain City Lanes family has meant so much to her and to our family. The Jonathan Alder Cross Country and Track family held a special place in Jessie's heart. They welcomed Jessie onto the team and into their families. After moving her from Kansas, her first day of Cross County practice was full of excitement, but also anxiety. "Mom, I'm nervous. I don't know anyone." But when Jenny picked her up from that first practice the excitement had increased, and the anxiety had vanished. She said, "Mom, I LOVE this team!" and that love never wavered. We'll never ever forget what these and other Plain City families have done for her and for us; for making us a part of this community, both in Jessie's life and now in her passing. THANK YOU!

But perhaps the most special thing about Jessie, was her ability to touch so many people and still never let anyone forget how much her family meant to her. She loved us with all her heart, and it showed. Family and family traditions were always so important to her. She loved the long drives with Papa listening to music. She loved singing the song "Let it Go" from the movie Frozen with Mom. So many memories were made on family vacations with her brother, Joshua. Like most siblings they didn't always show it, but they loved each other dearly.
Jessie – Mom, Papa and Joshua miss you so much. You are and always will be our Jessie Bug. We are truly blessed to have had such a special daughter and will cherish every moment we had with you. Every time you left or hung up you'd say, "Bye, Love You," So in your memory Jessie, "Bye, Love You." Rest in peace, our Angel. Rest in Peace.
Preceded in death by her grandparents: Emil and Marietta (Carver) Kunzi; grandmother: Rita (Stainer) DeVore; aunt: Darlene Schmitt.
