James "Andy" Andrew Shelton, 52, of Solsberry passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at his residence.
Born April 11, 1969 in Bloomington the son of James C. and Rita Kaye (Purcell) Shelton.
Andy drove a truck for Milestone, he was a member of the Teamster Union Local 135, a past volunteer firefighter and loved watching his kids play basketball.
Surviving relatives include his children, Ashley Shelton, James R. Shelton, Andrew Steven Hubert Shelton and Kylee Renee Shelton; three grandchildren, Ahlayna Ruthann Shelton, Josie Shelton and Aaron Levi Aman Chambers; his father, James C. Shelton; two sisters, Nikki (Bob) Curl and Cassie (Joey) Robertson; one niece, Charlie Kaye Curl and the children's mother, Wendy Bastin.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Ruthann Shelton; his mother, Rita Kaye Shelton; maternal and paternal grandparents, Robert and Norma Purcell and Hubert and Carol Shelton; one uncle, Jerry Shelton and one aunt, Cindy Breeden.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Craig Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
The family wishes any memorial donations in Andy's name be made to the Bloomfield Boys and Girls Basketball Program.
