Jennifer L. Costa, 32, of New Bedford died April 5, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in New Bedford the daughter of Kenneth and Kathy A. (Silvia) Leger of Dartmouth and the biological daughter of Joseph P. Costa, Jr. of New Bedford, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Jennifer was employed by Starwood Resorts and as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Favorites Corporation in Rhode Island.
She enjoyed going to the gym, reading and spending time with her children.
Her family is proud that Jennifer was an organ donor and helped save five lives.

Allison and Carter Allison; her half-sister, Caylan Costa of New Bedford; her maternal grandparents, Edward Ryan of Clovis, CA and Barbara (Sylvia) Silvia of New Bedford; her step-grandparents, Ernest and Janet Leger of Dartmouth; 5 uncles, Jeffrey Silva, Eddie Ryan, Richard Sylvia, Mike Leger and Brian Leger; 5 aunts, Joann Furtado, Jennifer Perry and her husband Mark, Kelly Day, Julie Leger and Karen Leger; her great-aunt, Patricia (Sylvia) Linhares; her best friend, Lindsay Allison and her husband Jordan and their children Aiden, Jacob and Chloe Allison; her Godmother and cousin, Donna McKenna and her husband Kevin and their children Jessica and Ryan; cousins Joy-el Aguiar, Jared Furtado, Jason DeTerra and Alan Sylvia and his wife Paula and their children Bobby and Brandon; step-cousins, Andrew, Allyssa, Ashley, Alex, Nicole and Rochelle; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was the granddaughter of the late Joseph Costa and Rita Eastwood, the great-granddaughter of the late Manuel and Helen (Howland) Sylvia and Joseph and Edith Faber, and the great-niece of late Robert Sylvia.
Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 10th from 4-8 PM with her Funeral Service at 6 PM during the visiting hours in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will be private.
