Mark leaves behind his parents, father, Mark Neal Thompson Sr. and stepmother Betsy of Oakdale, and mother, Nansii Downer and stepfather Bryan of TX, siblings, Kerenza Alvarez, Tim Thompson and Jaymes Downer. He leaves also his grandpa Don Stout and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly.

Mark was originally from Anaheim, CA. He made his way to Chico, CA, and would then call Oakdale home. He met his wife Janene while working in Oakdale and they became inseparable.
