Mr. Roger Patrick, age 68, of the Normantown Community, died Wednesday, January 19 at his home.

He was born in Vidalia and was a lifelong resident of Toombs County. He graduated from Lyons Senior High School in 1972 and Swainsboro Area Vocational-Technical School with a diploma in heating and air conditioning in 1978. He worked in heating and air conditioning sales and service for nearly fifty years until his retirement. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and spending time with his family. He was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, having trusted in His life, death, and resurrection by grace through faith alone; and he was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy.

Roger is preceded in death by his father, George Patrick; brother, Jerry Patrick; sisters, Debra Patrick, Janet Turner; father-in-law, John McGowan; brother-in-law, Johnny McGowan.

His surviving family includes his wife, Lula Mae Patrick of Toombs County; two sons, Jason Patrick of Toombs County, and Kevin Patrick (Kassy) of Muncie, IN; mother, Trellis Patrick of Toombs County; six grandchildren, Clay Patrick, Austin Patrick, and J.T. Patrick, all of Toombs County, and Mila Patrick, Judah Patrick, and Owen Patrick, all of Muncie, IN; brothers, Steve Patrick (Sharon) of Belton, SC, David "Buddy" Patrick and Dan Patrick, both of Toombs County, Rhonda Turner (James) of Stillmore, and Sheila Patrick of Toombs County; mother-in-law, Mary McGowan of Toombs County; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The funeral will be Tuesday, January 25th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Poppell officiating. Burial will follow at Ruth's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 24th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
