Mr. Carter was born on August 7, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late Thad Carter and Ada Mae Yates Carter.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers Ray Carter, Grady Carter, and Harold Carter and sisters Helen Kiger and Hazeline Gentry.
Those left to cherish his memory are his special friend Donna Lawson of the home; one son Jason (Tracy) Carter of Tobaccoville; three daughters Cynthia Carter Sipes of Jonesville, Jennifer Carter of Winston Salem, and Julie (Phillip) Ary of Winston Salem; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mr. Carter will be held on Monday January 24, 2022 at 11am at Faith Baptist Church in Germanton. Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
