Other than her parents, Janis was also preceded in death by her Husband, Curtis Smith Jr; Brothers, Glenn Noble, Kenneth Wayne Hughes, Ellis Hughes, and Don Gwin; Sisters, Jacklyn Miller and Mary Ruth Hughes. Janis Loved spending time with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Janis Carroll Smith will be conducted on Sunday January 23, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with A.J. Miller officiating. The Interment will follow in the Whitaker-Hughes Cemetery located at Clearfork, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 till 2:00 P.M.
