Charles Raymond Sanders, 60, of Orrstown, departed this life on the evening of Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Penn State Health M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

He was born on November 29, 1961, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Donald Leo and Marie Blanch (Spidle) Sanders. Charles married Sarah W. Zimmerman on September 6, 1997, in the Oakville Mennonite Church.

Charles worked at AB Martin, Newville, in many capacities, for twenty four years.

In addition to his wife of twenty five years, Charles is survived by his son, Jacob Nathaniel Sanders of Orrstown; his step-mother, Mary C. Sanders of Chambersburg; two brothers, Donald Leo Sanders, Jr., of Falling Water, WV and Kenneth James Sanders and wife Teresa of Orrtanna, PA; his sister, Marie Bunt of Fairfax, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his biological parents.

His funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the Oakville Mennonite Church, Newville. Bishop Lester M. Martin will officiate, with Minister's Carson Musser, Loren Newswanger, Leon High, Jr., and Tim Weaver assisting. Interment will occur in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Oakville Mennonite Church at 20 Willis Road, Newville, PA 17241.
