Joe Orson Lane of Oregon City, Oregon, returned home on January 14, 2022, at the age of 92. He was born July 5, 1929, in Fullerton, Orange County, California, and was one of ten children born to Orson Pratt Lane and Naydene Wear Tenney.
He lived his dream of obtaining a pilot's license in 1965 and was an active pilot into his 70s. He lived a good Christian life of service as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The impact of his generous life is far and wide.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Judith, and his wife, Donna Jeanette Baldwin. He loved and was beloved by his family and will be greatly missed. He leaves his five adult children: Mrs. J. Fletcher of Oregon; Mrs. M. N. Morris of Arizona; Mr. J. O. Lane of Oregon; Mrs. H. M. Call of Utah; and Miss E. J. Lane of Arizona.
His motto of "love you more" was heard and felt by his posterity which includes 29 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by brothers Jack, Jay, and Justin.
Funeral services will be held January 29, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 14340 S Donovan Road in Oregon City. Following the funeral, his burial will be at Redland Pioneer Cemetery in Redland, Oregon, where his daughter, wife, grandson, and granddaughter are interred.
