"Linda Knapp (Feb 27, 1944-Dec 29, 2021).

On Dec 29, 2021, Linda Dee Jenkins Knapp passes away. She was absolutely beloved and admired by many, including her family, and her ladies that would attend her annual ladies 2-in-1 tournament at the Harrington Golf & Country Club. Ladies came from far and wide to golf with 'The Knapper". Linda inspired them to support her beloved HG&CC, to come for the camaraderie, and to hear her wild and often outrageous jokes that she performed as her comedy persona, 'Sister Mary Linda'. She proudly represented the state of Washington to play in the Women's Amateur Pub-Links Tournaments and traveled throughout the nation.
Linda was born and raised in LaGrande, OR to a traveling Christian Book salesman and part time Barber. Her father taught her to play golf at a young age, but she taught herself how to tell a joke. She played the French horn, and excelled in music and sports, winning a scholarship to Whitworth University. She graduated with a BA in music education and went on to teach music in Lind and Davenport, where she would meet her husband, Gregory Knapp, a third generation wheat farmer of Harrington, Washington. They had two daughters together.

In 1991, friend Eileen Paulson talked Linda into forming K/P Productions, giving the gift and opportunity of theater and music to the local community. Linda also directed plays for the Harrington High School, leaving lasting memories for many students, staff and parents alike.

She leaves behind her daughter Kirsten, and was preceded in death by her daughter Kelly, and her husband Greg. Linda had an incredible ability to establish lifelong friendships with people of all ages and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held later this year. "I love you, my Sweet Mommy Girl', --Kirsten."
