Dorothy (Dot) Kottwitz

Born Dorothy Anne O'Malley on September 5, 1925 in Witt, Illinois to Louis W. and Celia B. O'Malley. Dot married Wayne E. Kottwitz on June 24, 1948 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, Illinois. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother (Mimi). She devoted many years volunteering at St. Mary's Catholic Church and school.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Ozata, Nancy Ballou, Ed (Mary Anne) Kottwitz, Mary Kottwitz, Patti Rowen, Michael (Sherri) Kottwitz, Andrea Van Meter, grandchildren, brothers, Charles O'Malley, Dennis O'Malley and Donald O'Malley. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, her parents and brothers Billy O'Malley and Jerry O'Malley.

Rosary Services will be at 6:00PM on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will follow from 6:30 PM to 8:00PM.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 2nd at St. Marys Catholic Church. Urn burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
