Don was born March 17, 1940, in Lancaster, South Carolina, the oldest son of
John Pierson Richardson and
Smiley Ruth Patterson Richardson
He is survived by his loving and devoted
Wife, Ann Miller Richardson
Daughter, Kelly Richardson Taylor
Granddaughter, Riley Taylor

Fred Latta Richardson (Diana) of Columbus, Georgia,
Edwin Keith Richardson (Nancy) of Waxhaw, NC

Amy R. Byars (Javan) and children, Caroline and Clayton, Woodstock, Georgia, Claire R. Robinson (Josh) and children, John and Tyler, Roswell, Georgia, Crandall Dana (Brenton) and daughter, Mary Nance, Greenville, South Carolina

Lorrie Merchant Aberdeen
Amy Schlappich (Jason) and children, Dylan and Braclyn, Monroe, NC, and
Ann Wray Keziah.
Don spent many years in the automotive business and was owner of Don's Auto Parts. He was an active member of Central United Methodist Church in Monroe, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and Oasis Shrine Temple, an active member of the Monroe Kiwanis Club, and Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe.
Don also graduated from Lancaster High School in 1958 before joining the South Carolina Army for the National Guard where he served for 6 years.
At the request of the family, Don will be laid to rest in the Columbarium of Central United Methodist Church following a private family service. The family plans to hold a larger public service at a later date to honor Don's life.
