Don graduated from Tabor High School in 1953.
He served in the Navy Seabees.
Don was united in marriage to Jacklyn Ann Jinings on June 25, 1990, in Bellevue, Nebraska.
He farmed and owned the Oasis restaurant for many years.
Don enjoyed raising large gardens, fishing, working in his shop, attending sporting events and was a devoted supporter of Optimist Wrestling. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
