Ida Mae Sims Robinson, 79, of 572 Warren Street, Apt 6-N, Brooklyn, NY passed Saturday evening, October 28, 2017 in Rutland Nursing Home at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. A native of Union County, SC she was the widow of George Robinson and daughter of the late Deacon Ed Sims, Jr. and Annie Bell Reid Sims. She attended the public schools of Union County, SC and was a homemaker. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Willie Robinson and Larry Robinson; three brothers, Ed Brice Sims, Robert Lee Sims, and Curtis; and one sister Jerleen Sims Smith. Survivors include two sons, Raymond Robinson and Reginald Spencer both of Brooklyn, NY; three daughters, Sheila Robinson (Rodney) Roberts and Samantha Jackson both of Brooklyn, NY and Leatrice Matthews of Bronx, NY; nineteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Reverend George (Mearlean) Sims, Deacon Roosevelt Sims, and Deacon Frank Eugene (Gladys) Sims all of Union, SC; four sisters, Janie Mae (Willie) London of Brooklyn, NY, Annie Ruth Glenn of Jonesville, SC and Eddie Ruth (William) Artis and Perleen (Lawrence) Wilson both of Union, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at the home of her brother, Reverend George (Mearlean) Sims, 158 Shady Hill Drive, Union, SC. Arrangements are with Cobble Hill Chapels, 171 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY.
