Mrs. Tracy was born October 22, 1928, in Palestine, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Jerry Jayroe and Winnie Mary Swiena Jayroe. She lived in Forrest City until moving to Charleston, was retired from Sanyo Manufacturing and Walmart, and was a member of the Palestine Church of Christ.
Mrs. Tracy married Luther Bernard Tracy in 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by two sons; Lonnie Tracy, and wife, Annette, of Wynne, and Larry Tracy, and wife, Martha, of Lavaca, Arkansas, one brother, Johnny Jayroe, and wife, Rita, of Palestine, one sister, Jean Billingsley, and husband, Raymond, of Carthage, Mississippi, three grandchildren; Jennifer Davis, and husband, Russ, of Temple, Texas, Whitney Tracy and Tina McGowan, both of Hot Springs, four great-grandchildren; Benjamin Davis, Kate Davis, and Sarah Davis, all of Jonesboro, Ethan Samuel of Hot Springs, and Emily Davis of Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by four sisters; Margaret Singer, Betty Jo Dover, Alice Adams, and Eva Mae Jayroe, five brothers; James 'Gug' Jayroe, Cecil Jayroe, Buddy Jayroe, Billy Jayroe, and Sammy Jayroe, two granddaughters; Aundrea Tracy and Brittney Tracy.
Services for Mrs. Tracy will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Saturday, with burial in Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 1:00 P.M., until the time of the service, at Stevens Funeral Home, with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
