Mr. Jackson was born in Wagram on Oct. 17, 1949, to the late Leo Jackson and Katherine Jackson. He was preceded in death by his son David Odell Jackson.
He served in the US Air Force during Vietnam as a MP and a German shepherd handler. He loved his family, his country and was an avid outdoors man.
He is survived by two sisters, Jeanette Casper and her husband John of Durham, NC, Jackie Hargrove of Raeford, NC, a brother Donald Wayne Jackson and his wife Ruth of Carthage, NC. He was blessed with several nieces and nephews along with many great nieces and great nephews. He also has his beloved dog Duck.
A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Hillside Cemetery in Laurinburg, NC.
