Denver Billy Joe "Poppy" Williams, 72, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, peacefully at his home in Hindsville. He was born Friday, July 29, 1949, at Shiloh in Newton County; to James Clyde and Dorothy Reynolds Williams.

Bill married Louise Evans on December 9, 1983, at Springdale; and together they were parents to seven children. He was a beloved pastor for many years but pastored the House of Worship of Hindsville since 1994. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and a Vietnam veteran. He loved music, playing guitars, and writing songs. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, and church family, singing praises to God. He devoted his life to spoiling his wife, helping anyone he could, and leading souls to Jesus.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Dorothy Williams; three brothers Boyd Williams, Ray Williams, and Gene Williams; and two sisters, Mary Ruth Williams and Freda Reading.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Louise Williams of the home; two adopted daughters and sons-in-law, Tanita and Josh Kuykendall of Hindsville; and Tanaya and Michael Lucke of Bentonville; three biological daughters and son-in-law, Carrie Jo and Larry Terwilliger, Sherri Lynn Williams, and Jackie Williams, all of Springdale; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Tabitha and Bart Dyke of Fayetteville; and Tanya and Marty Foulk of Springdale; one sister and brother-in-law, Reba and Roy Self of Shiloh; one brother, Larry Williams of Sonora; 13 grandchildren (and one on the way), 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 4:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the House of Worship in Hindsville, with Lonnie Siler and Terry Easterling officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Kuykendall, Marty Foulk, Tobin Foulk, Harrison White, Alexander White, Larry Terwilliger. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Jerrod Williams, Michael Lucke, Jason Dunn, Lonnie Wade, Isaiah Terwilliger, Carmen Watkins, and Thomas Wilson. Interment will immediately follow services at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
