Mr. Abbott died on Monday, March 3, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
David Earl Abbott was born on May 12, 1965 in Abilene, Texas to Kenneth and Francis (Abels) Abbott. He grew up in Lawton and attended school here and graduated from Geronimo High School in 1983. While in high school, he was a member of the FFA and Vo-Tech. After high school, he joined the National Guard. He was employed for Cindy Claborn at JC Waterbeds for 24 years in Lawton and moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1988 and then to Tulsa, Oklahoma in September of 2004, where he was employed at Bassett Furniture. He loved motorcycles, drawing, woodwork, and auto racing.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Francis and Harold Parker, of Lawton; his father, Kenneth Abbott, of Geronimo; three brothers, Randale Abbott, of Lawton, Danny Abbott and his wife, Debbie, of Geronimo, and Dale Abbott and his wife, Martha, of Tulsa; three sisters and brothers in law, Melinda and Joe Aeisi, of Sacramento, California, LaFonda and Kenny Toombs, of Geronimo, and Nancy and Mark Russell, of Tipton, Oklahoma; five nephews and six nieces, Bobby Abbott and his wife, Shannon, Krista Abbott, Danny W. Abbott and his wife, Shanna, Bryan Abbott, Chris Abbott, Pamela Toombs, Chelsea Toombs, Teisita Russell, Kenny Russell, Kendra Russell and Amanda Sebree and her husband, Kyle; two great nieces, Kaylee Abbott and Morgan Abbott; numerous aunts and uncles; and a host of friends including special friends, Jim and Cheri Will and Bob Roach.
