He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Davis; and son, Eric Davis.
Arthur was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in both the infantry and airborne. He earned a combat infantry badge during the Korean War. After retiring from the military, he was a sales associate with JC Penney in Petersburg for 20 years. Following retirement, he and his wife enjoyed their lives together, traveling the world.
Arthur is survived by his two children, Shawn Davis and Annette Davis Cull; along with his grandchildren, Chelsea and Sydney Woods.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester Chapel, 3050 W. Hundred Road. A funeral will be held in this chapel on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11 a.m., with interment following the service in Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Henrico.
