Anita grew up in Brooklyn, NY enjoying Coney Island, running into movie stars and working in New York City.
Anita was attending a dance in New York where she met her husband, Joseph Thomas Dixon. They immediately liked each other and married on October 15, 1955. Anita set up home in New York until Joe was discharged in 1957. From there they moved to the Washington, DC area and then to PG county where they finally settled in Clinton in 1968.

Anita loved being a wife, mom, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend. Anita was a healer and a giver – always thinking of others and worried about others over herself. For many years, Anita did duck pin bowling and would be at every sport practice and ball game. Anita loved shopping, talking with her kids daily, watching Jeopardy, going to casinos, cruising on a big ship with Joe and their friends, talking on the phone, going out to dinner and just hanging out with her family. She loved hearing stories about what was happening in her children and grandchildren's lives.
Anita also loved watching sports including the Redskins, Nats and Yankees.

Beloved wife for 62 years of the late Joseph T Dixon.
