Bernard Allen Williams, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Bernard was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 16, 1955 to Theodore Russell Williams and Ethel (Maddox) Williams. Bernard was an entrepreneur, who dabbled in many different things over the years. He was a talker, there was no such thing as small talk when it came to Bernard. He was a collector of many things, from toasters to coke bottles (even though he was a Pepsi drinker through and through), and people. Bernard knew everyone somehow. He wasn't shy and he would call up his people day or night wanting to talk. While he could be ornery, he was also selfless and willing to help everyone he could. Bernard was the rock of the family, the foundation that everyone relied on. He had a great work ethic, and he instilled that in his kids and then his grandkids, whether they wanted it or not.

Bernard was a wild one in his youth, and throughout his life he did what he wanted and followed whatever interest took his fancy. He was always unabashedly himself and he owned up to that, whether it was good or bad in other people's eyes. He was a hustler who knew how to make money, and that charm just didn't mean profitable business. Bernard was very charming when it suited him and rather popular with the opposite sex. He loved attending auctions and even enjoyed the roll of Auctioneer. He was one of a kind, and he will be greatly missed by those privileged enough to know him.

Bernard is survived by his children Bo (Stephanie) Williams, Steven David Williams, Davina Sedam, Daniel (Becky) Williams, David (Bethany) Williams, Russell (Elisa) Williams, Rebecca Williams, Steven Lloyd, and Ryan (Megan) Williams; his siblings Jack (Marika) Williams, Joe (Colleen) Williams, Pam (Jimmy) Walters, Billy (Carol) Williams, Jeff (Tina Williams, and Mike Williams; 36 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; many business associates; and lots of friends.

Bernard is preceded in passing by his parents, Theodore and Ethel Williams; his siblings Paul, John, Russell, Carletta, Bob, Diana, Nena, and Steve; and his great grandchildren Peyton, Solomon, and Amelia.

Services for Bernard will be at 1 PM, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery. Visitation for Bernard will be from 2 - 6 PM, Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
