Obituary:
Patrick Bouvier Sims, Jr., 35, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022.
He was a 2004 graduate of Brainerd High School, and later went on to attend Chattanooga State.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Sadie Sims, Jr., and Ernest and Charline Battle, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Jacobi Sims; father, Patrick Bouvier (Essie) Sims, Sr.; mother, Marilyn (Harold) McKissick; step-sons, Ta'Sean Honeysucker and Ja'Marien Crawl; step-daughter, Mari'yana Crawl; brothers, Damyelle (Jamie) Miller, Cameron Callicott, and K-Ci Hutchins; sister, LaQualia (Britten) Crutcher; uncles, Ernest Battle, Jr., Charles W. Clay, Troy (Brenda) Battle, Aaron B. (Patricia) Sims, Sr., Anthony A. (Yvonne) Sims, and Thaddeus G. Sims, Sr.; aunts, Inez (Reginald) Green, Roxann Battle, Selene Battle-Hitchcock, Darlene Battle, Dollie (Ronald) Montgomery, Irma Dews, Myrna D. Cooper, and Jaqueline A. Gaines; nieces, Ja'Lyiah Crutcher and Camari Callicott; nephew, J'Sean Williams; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Patrick will lie in state on Friday, Jan. 28, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 29, at Olivet Baptist Church at 10 a.m. with Pastor Aaron B. Sims Sr., as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
