She was a graduate of Miller High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married the love of her life, Earl Hodges, on December 31, 1949, in Alice, Texas. Bobbie worked more than thirty years as Payroll Supervisor for Heldenfels Construction Company in Corpus Christi. She and Earl were members of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Lockesburg. She was a 50 + year member of the Eastern Star and a Life Member of the American Legion. She enjoyed sewing, needle work, and crocheting, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of over 62 years, Earl Hodges; one brother, Marshall J. Robertson, Jr.; and a son-in-law, John Fooks.
Bobbie leaves to cherish her loving memory, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Wayne and Sherri Hodges of Horatio, and Marshall Earl and Joanne Hodges of Orange, Texas; one daughter, Roberta Ann Fooks of Texarkana, Arkansas; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Tammy Robertson of Nolanville, Texas; one sister, Barbara Nell Beck of Nolanville, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bobbie Hodges will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 17, 2022, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Wesley Blankenship and Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Old Center Cemetery in Horatio.
