Velma "Virginia" Trueblood, 87, widow of Joe Trueblood, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, on September 5, 1934, to the late Orville Weigert and Jessie Jennings Weigert. She was a member of Community Missionary Church for years, and then attended Wilmore Free Methodist Church until her final days. She is survived by her son, Darrel Bailey, daughters, Debra Rhoades (Stephen), and Denise Adams (Dennis), brother, Ed Weigert (Sue), and sister, Jane Bitting (David). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Aaron Bailey, Jenna Bailey, Andrea Tolson (Dan), Sara Grace Bailey, Michael Rhoades (Justine), Wiley Adams (Laura), and Ethan Adams (Charlotte), as well as seven great-grandchildren, Auburn Bailey, Bailey Messer, Reagan Adams, Scarlett Adams, Jordan Rhoades, Gabrielle Rhoades, and Emilia Adams. Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Wilmore Free Methodist, with Dwight Winter, Daryl Diddle, and Stephen Rhoades officiating. Burial will follow at Wilmore Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Michael Rhoades, Aaron Bailey, Ethan Adams, Wiley Adams, Bailey Messer, and Daniel Tolson.She was preceded in death by her former husband Gary Bailey. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 PM on Friday at Wilmore Free Methodist. Memorial donations are suggested to be made to New Beginnings Bluegrass, at 1353 W.
