Willie Lee Jackson passed away peacefully at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia, on January 9, 2022.

On August 10, 1947, Willie, also known as "Nee-Baby," was born in Thomasville, GA to the late Cleveland Jackson, Sr. (father) and Josie Ruth (Moore) Jackson (mother). He was the fourth of six children. As a young man, he enjoyed swimming, dancing, listening to music, and building as he was mechanically inclined.

Willie attended Douglass High School being a member of the Class of 1967. He later continued his education at Walton Technical School, where he pursued brick masonry. He spent many years as a contractor and brick mason and had the privilege of constructing many buildings in Thomas County and surrounding counties.

On August 5, 1972, Willie and Barbara McIntyre, who preceded him in death, joined in holy matrimony. On November 25, 1973, they happily welcomed a daughter, the late Subrenia Jackson Mosley, who also preceded him in death.

In later years, Willie and his family attended the Cornerstone Church of Christ in Thomasville, where he worshiped with members and enjoyed other activities.

Willie leaves behind to cherish his memories, his daughter, Annie Ruth McMillian of Killeen, TX; brother, Cleveland Jackson of Sumpter, SC; sisters, Jacqueline Summerville of Union City, GA and Gwendolyn Jackson, Lithonia, GA; brother-in-law, William Rogers, Sr. of Woodstock, GA; sister-in-laws, Beatrice Jackson, Catherine Willis (Hansell) and Jeanette Walker all of Thomasville, GA; son-in-law, Melvin Mosley of Thomasville, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and special cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Willie Lee Brown.
