Jason was born on April 25, 1976 in Somerset, KY. He worked as a plumber's assistant until January 2020 when his sickness prevented it. Jason loved the Lord and was very knowledgeable in the Bible and assured me that his heart was ready to meet the Lord. We take great comfort in that today. The apostle Paul tells us that "We are confident and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." Jason enjoyed reading. His favorites included history books, fantasy/science fiction novels, and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife magazines. Jason was a talented sketch artist and spent his youth involved in Martial Arts and playing the trumpet. Jason was an avid fisherman and an even more avid story teller about "the one that got away."
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Harvey and Ida Mae Jennings, Thomas and Sally Garner, and Gilberta Cornett, a sister, Stephanie Cornett Roach, and an infant daughter, Amber Garner.
Jason is survived by his parents; Steven and Betty Cornett and Thomas and Brenda Garner, and his grandfather, Frank Cornett. One son, Aaron Matthew Garner, one grandson, Jensen Matthew Parker, four sisters, Janie Cornett-Pyles, Lella Garner Still, Elizabeth Garner Combs and April Cornett, one brother, Jimmy Cornett.
