Grace E. Welch, 84, of Berwick died Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at Sunset Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Bloomsburg.
Born June 7, 1937, in West Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Katherine Amelia (Morgan) Mausteller.
A graduate of Harter High School's Class of 1955, she was employed in her early years in Data Communications and Consolidated Cigar.
Mrs. Welch loved her pets, especially her dog, Annie.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 42 years, Arthur W. Welch Sr.; two brothers: Edward and John Mausteller; and her great-grandchild, Verity Welch.
Surviving are her son, Arthur William Welch Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters: Katherine Welch of Bloomsburg and Charlotte Mae, wife of Stephen Laytar, of Berwick; 12 grandchildren: Michael Weaver, Katie Weaver, Earl Weaver Jr., Carrie Weaver, Ryan Welch, Rosemarie Welch, Adam Welch, Peter Lazazzaro, Richard Wilson, Mason Laytar, Leah King, and Justina High; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Warren Mausteller of Allentown; and her sister, Gloria Ann Varner of Berwick.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick.
Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Following the interment, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Garibaldi Society, 540 Monroe St., Berwick.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., Berwick.
