Former Citizen of Monticello Dies

Monticello, July 1. – Mrs. Susanna Leckrone, former resident of this community, died at 2:15 o'clock this afternoon at her home in Silver Lake, where she had been a resident 20 years. The body will be taken to the home of a niece, Mrs. Noah Smith, in Brookston, by R. C. Dickerson, Stockwell undertaker. The funeral will be held sometime Wednesday at the Dunkard church, near here.

Mrs. Leckrone was born in Darke county, Ohio, on April 18, 1843, a daughter of Isaac and Mary Anderson. In 1864 she was married to George Williams, who died in 1895. Three years later she married Joseph [Jacob] Kauffman, who died in 1910, and in 1916 she became the wife of Emanual Leckrone, who died ten years ago. She was a member of the Dunkard church.
