Lucille was born in Cullman, Alabama on September 6, 1937, the daughter of the late Paul and Gladys Dale. Lucille was very active in her church, Temple Baptist, and often she taught Sunday School and worked on the church bus. She was known as everyone's "Granny," and she would take care of anyone. Lucille was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Lucille is also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Paul Dale and John David Dale; sister, Louise Nevill; grandson, Johnny James Robert Brown. She is survived by her sons, Robert Paul Brown (Phillis), James Albert Brown, and Johnny D. Brown (Star); daughter, Brenda J. Garner (Bruce); granddaughter that she raised, Sherrie Vassar; sisters, Eunice N. York and Lula Mae Blanton; eleven grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
