Mrs. Virginia "Dianne" Greene, age 78, of White Springs, Florida died in Solaris Healthcare of Lake City following an extended illness. Dianne was raised in Columbia County and graduated from Columbia County High School in 1961 when the class voted Dianne "The Wittiest" They make grins grow where there was only a grouch before! The year book photo "Talk she can, talk she will, her tongue is very seldom still.
Dianne was a devout Christian attending the Church of God White Springs, Florida. She was the first female councilwoman for the Town of White Springs.
Dianne enjoyed raising her kids and watching them play sports. But that wasn't enough she would load up every child she could so they also could travel to games, many over the years. Dianne knew many in her life in need and found and delivered items to various families. Truly doing the lord's work.
Dianne operated Steve's Stop and Shop in White Springs, where many found their first VHS or Beta Video Tape. Most remember the large scoops of ice cream.
She was preceded in death by Husband Steve Greene, Son, Wade Greene, parents, Walter and Nera Davis, One brother, Vernon Davis and Two sisters, Cathyrn Timpany and Lillian Edenfield

A graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Greene was held Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Riverside Cemetery White Springs, Fla.
