Eunice was a farmwife. She and her family lived in Guthrie County until moving to the Peru area in 1953. She was a member of the Ladies Neighborhood Group and the National Farmers Organization. Eunice raised chickens. She always had a large garden and enjoyed house plants, especially African Violets. She also liked to spend time embroidering pillow cases and in her later years, enjoyed crossword puzzles and word finds. She cherished time spent with family and greatly enjoyed her grandchildren.
Eunice died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Westbridge Care and Rehabilitation in Winterset. She was 94.
Eunice is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Winebrenner and wife, Fay of Des Moines and Richard Winebrenner and wife, Jean of Peru; a sister Edna Warner of Winterset; five grandchildren, Steve, Sue, Lori, Sarah, and Luke; six great grandchildren, Amy, Nicole, Samantha, Amber, Blake, Jr., and Jeremy; three great-great grandchildren, Emma, Alayna, and Max; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marshall; a son, Burdette; two brothers; and two sisters.
