WILSON -- Funeral services for Lucille Elizabeth Alexander, 80, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home chapel with her grandson, David Russell, officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore.

Mrs. Alexander died June 21, 1998, in Ardmore. She was born April 10, 1918, at Walters, to David Edward and Bell McClarty Guthrie.

Reared at Randlette and Courtney, she and Steve Black were married in 1934, at Ringling. They lived in Brownfield, Texas, then moved to Ardmore in 1969. Mr. Black died in 1974. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Faught, in 1978.

On April 10, 1978, she and W.C. "Bill" Alexander were married in Ardmore.

Survivors include her husband, Bill, of the home; a daughter, Jackie Croskell; two sons, John Black, Ardmore, and Don Black, Braggs; two stepdaughters, Claudia Thompson, Houston, and Jessie Ann Black, Lake Elsinor, Calif.; a sister, Cleo Muller, Ardmore; sister-in-law, Wanda Russell, Dover; a brother, James Guthrie, Lodi, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Bearers will be grandsons, Thomas and Steve Russell, Terry and Steven Thompson, Jay Sargent, Gene Croskell, Randy and Eddie Black.
