Mary was born August 2, 1929, in West York and was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Susan (Sollenberger) Paules.
Mary graduated as the valedictorian of the class of 1947 from Wrightsville High School. She then studied accounting and graduated from Thompson Business School of York in 1949.
She worked in several different offices in York and retired from Susquehanna Valley Insulators, Dover in 1998 as secretary/bookkeeper after 13 years.
Mary was a long-time member of Shiloh UCC.
She enjoyed her many long-time friends while playing bridge, eating out at many restaurants, visiting, going to antique and doll shows, and traveling.
Mary's favorite food was ice cream. Her family owned Paules Dairy in Wrightsville from 1935-61 where she waitressed and helped her father deliver milk.
Mary is survived by her brother William Paules; her three children, son Keith Rodgers and his wife Carol, son Steve Rodgers and his wife Michelle, daughter Beth Inkrote and her husband Dave; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveide service will take place at Shiloh Cemetery on Church Road, York on January 21 at 12:30 p.m. followed by visitation at 1:30 p.m. at Shiloh United Church of Christ, 2251 Willow Road, York. A service to celebrate Mary's life will take place at the church at 2:30 p.m.
