Vickie A. Ellis, 66, of East Grand Forks, MN passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, surrounded by her family at home.
Vickie Ann Ellis was born October 15, 1955, in Williston, ND to the late Alton and Theresa (Allard) Ellis. She grew up in Towner, ND and graduated from high school there in 1973. On March 14, 1975, she married Leland Fosness in Towner, ND. They were blessed with three children. On September 14, 2001, she married Conrad "Billy" Swearson in Towner, ND. Vickie worked for the US Post Office in Leeds, ND and Minot, ND and worked in environmental services for Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND where she retired from in 2020. She loved the outdoors especially anything to do with water. Her greatest joy however was spoiling her seven grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Cameron (Scott)Jacobson of Grand Forks, ND, Denver (Jessica) Fosness of Towner, ND and LeRae (Joe) Bachmeier of East Grand Forks, MN; her siblings: Joni (Ronald) Wolf of Kindred, ND, Kerry Ellis of Minot, ND, Deanna (Ray) Miller of Sawyer, ND, Shelly Holmes of Parshall, ND and Ronald Ellis of Bottineau, ND; her 7 grandchildren: Tucker and Melanie Fosness of Towner, ND, Cayden and Denver Jacobson of Grand Forks, ND and Kinley, Brennan, and Ellery Bachmeier of East Grand Forks, MN and many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Theresa Ellis, brother Bryan Ellis, and brother-in-law Steve Holmes.
Celebration of Life: Saturday, January 22, 2022, at The Gallows Club, Towner, ND.
Burial: Union Cemetery, Towner, ND in the spring.
