Margaret Ann Peters
Margaret "Ann" Peters, of Petersburg, IL, passed away on January 15, 2022, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
She was born in Paris, IL, on May 23, 1945, to Calvin and Lucille (Boyer) Weber. She married John Peters in Paris, IL on May 27, 1966.
Ann is survived by her husband; two sons; two grandsons and two sisters and their husbands.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Jim Peters.
Ann graduated from high school in Kansas and then attended Eastern Illinois University. She and her husband lived in Brussels, IL and Paris, IL before settling in Petersburg in 1979. She worked as a teacher aide and library aide at the PORTA Elementary, PORTA Middle School, PORTA Central and Tallula for 35 years. Ann enjoyed crossword puzzles, sudoku, making travel plans and traveling with John. She truly loved all the children she worked with over the years and was greatly loved by her coworkers. Ann will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Memorial gathering will be held for Ann at Roots, 14305 State Highway 97, Petersburg, IL 62675, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Memorials may be made to PORTA Central or the Menard County Food Bank.
