Sue and Bill Green were called to heaven suddenly on December 22nd, 2021. As we are told in 2nd Corinthians, "We do not lose heart. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." While they may not be here with us physically, they will live on in our hearts forever.

Sue grew up in South Georgia. After college she moved to Atlanta and worked for Nabisco where she met Bill.

Sue is survived by her son Rex Bailey; his wife Kim; her sister Melinda Overstreet; and her grandsons Nick and Luke, granddaughters Emma and Caroline; and son-in-law Bryan Johnston.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Teri Johnston.

Bill grew up in Alcoa, Tennessee. After high school he served in the United States Marine Corps and the Air Force Reserves. Following his military service, he worked for Nabisco.

Bill is survived by his daughter Letha Faulkner; his sister Jewel Green; and his four grandchildren Paige, Matthew, Courtney and Brandon.

He is preceded in death by his son Blake Green.

At Nabisco, Sue and Bill started a wonderful life together that spanned over four decades. They enjoyed traveling the world together and family vacations that included; skiing, the beach, and Disney World with their children and grandchildren. Following 30 plus years in the Atlanta area, they retired to Sue's hometown in Millen, surrounded by family, friends, and their dog Brownie. Sue enjoyed tending to her home garden, was an avid reader, an active member in their Church and the Millen Gardening Club. Bill enjoyed his pecan tree farm, hunting and fishing with family, military history collecting, and his membership in the Shriners International Organization. Sue loved her flowers and their church.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

The service will be held at Elam Baptist Church in Millen, GA on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 at 2pm
