James "Ernest" Buchanan

Charlotte, North Carolina - James " Ernest" Buchanan passed away January 18, 2022. He was born on August 20, 1925. He was born in Bakersville, NC, son of Virgil and Estelle Buchanan. In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Dorothy Buchanan. He was a War World II Veteran who served on the front lines in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from Pic-n-Pay Shoes.
Ernest was a member of the gospel band " Paw Creek Boys" He loved getting together with all his friends on Friday night and playing gospel music.
Ernest is survived by his daughters, Beverly Thomas of Charlotte, NC and her husband James Thomas, Pam Wallace of Newnan, GA and her husband Pete Wallace. He had a host of Grandkids and great Grandchildren. He was a Godly man and loved by all.
