Peggy worked in the office at Dresser Industries for 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Faith Community Church, VFW, Ladies Auxiliary, and The American Legion. She enjoyed reading, word find puzzles, and crocheting.
Peggy is survived by 4 daughters, Cynthia Ann Whetzel of Salisbury, MD, Karen T. Murray (Art) of Baltimore, MD, Julia Lynn Reinhardt (Dave) of Salisbury MD, and Anita Gail McDonnell (Bill) of Richmond, VA; 8 grandchildren, Amy (Nate), Casie (Robert), Justin (Kirsten), Megan (Robert), Emily (Alan) and Katelyn (Chris), Stephanie, Madison; 5 great grandchildren, Skylar, River, Valley, Savannah and Harper; several nieces and nephews; 2 stepsons, Charles Taylor (Cheryl), Thomas Taylor (Connie) and Eddie's wife Anne; 4 step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren; sister in law, Gail Phillips.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Taylor; a grandchild, Jodie; a great grandchild, Brody; a sister, Betty Alexander; 2 brothers, Carl Pollitt, Jr., Brother and Robert "Bob" Pollitt; and the father of her children, William V. Taylor, beloved in-laws, Wilson and Virginia Taylor, Wilson and Margaret Taylor, Richard and Joanne Taylor, Harold Phillips, and stepson, Eddie Taylor.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 11:00am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury. Officiating will be Rev's Gilbert & Ruth Newnam. Peggy has requested that everyone dress casually.
