Kenneth Jake Wassom, age 78, peacefully passed from this life at home surrounded by his family on Friday, January 14, 2022. Kenny was born to Jake and Beulah Wassom on April 22, 1943, in Mazie, Oklahoma. He attended school through the 8th grade at Mazie Schools. He graduated from Wagoner High School in 1961. Kenny loved sharing childhood memories of growing up in Wagoner as the youngest sibling of six children. In 1978, he moved his family to Wagoner so his girls could grow up in the place he did.

Kenny met, fell in love with and married Linda (Stimson). They had 52 wonderful years together serving the Lord, working, raising a family, taking vacations, fishing and enjoying time with their children and grandchildren. Kenny was an accomplished auto mechanic for 50 years with a reputation for being honest and dependable. A person could tell him the noise a car was making, and he knew what needed to be repaired. Kenny enjoyed OU football, watching westerns, visiting with friends, hunting, and fishing, but more than anything, he loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jake and Beulah Wassom. His five siblings, Perry Wassom, Wayne Wassom, Margaret Rooks, Martha Philpott and Lonnie Wassom.

Until they are united again, he leaves behind his wife, Linda Wassom, of the home. His children, Cara Miller of Wagoner, Dana and Kevin Lord of Wagoner, Jana and Neil King of Wagoner. HIs grandchildren, Justin Miller, Jeremy Miller, Kayleigh and Chad Crooks, Jacob King, Kelsey and Miguel Reyes, Caleb King, and Hannah King. His great grandchildren, Jackson Miller, Kade Martin and Linlee Crooks. As well as nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
