Juanita was the daughter of Claude Hampton and Lorine McNally Hampton. She was educated in the Wilkes County School System and attended Lincoln Heights School. After high school, she relocated to Winston Salem, North Carolina where she attended Forsyth Technical College. After her graduation, she was employed with several companies before gaining employment with Merita Bakery for 17 years until retiring. She was a member of Greater Shining Light in Reidsville, North Carolina under the leadership of Elder and First Lady Leak.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Willie Frank Hampton.
